Green Innovation in Action: From Traditional Breeding to Microspore Embryogenesis in the Future of Crop Improvement
MRS. KIM, So Hyung
Vib-ghent University
So Hyung is pursuing a Ph.D. at the VIB-UGent Center for Plant Systems Biology under Daniël Van Damme. Her research aims to elucidate the role of autophagy in microspore embryogenesis, to enhance double haploid production in Brassica napus. We strive to develop innovative strategies to enhance stress-induced microspore embryogenesis, with significant implications for hybrid breeding and potentially revolutionizing fundamental knowledge in plants, agricultural biotechnology, and crop engineering.
